Fostering Tea Session (Desmond & Wendy)

Image
24 October 2015 - Sharing by Desmond and Wendy Wendy shared about how they cope with their foster child's trauma symptoms and how God has encouraged them to hang on during challenging moments. They shared as well that the journey has encouraged them to constantly examine the motivations behind fostering . They had asked themselves if their self esteem was dependent on their performance of sacrificial love. They questioned themselves if their care of the child is an outflow of love from Christ and if they are seeking to gain affirmation and adoration from the child. " If I don't receive the reciprocal feelings, would I continue fostering? "
